New ladder truck arrives at Northeast Fire

Thursday, January 14, 2010
By Gina Anderson

Northeast Fire and EMS recently took delivery of a new 75' ladder truck from Pierce Fire Apparatus.  This new truck will replace both our lead engine and ladder truck that ran out of the Grabill Station.  It is referred to as a Quint in the fire service since it is made up of 5 components: a pump, a tank, a truck mounted aerial ladder, ground ladders, and fire hose.  The truck was purchased by Cedar Creek Township.  The truck will be put into service after mounting the loose equipment and training members on its operation.
