Northeast battles structure fire

On Tuesday, September 1, 2009, Northeast, along with Woodburn Fire Department, were dispatched to the 12000 block of Cuba Road for a possible structure fire.  Upon arrival, E-142 found heavy smoke coming from points of the roof.  E-142 called for an additional engine from St. Joe Fire Department.  E-142 crew gained access to the attic and stopped the progression of the fire.  Assisting Northeast were: St. Joe, Woodburn with the use of an insulation vacuum, Northeast EMS, the FAST team, and the Allen County Police Department.  The fire is still under investigation by the FAST team.  There were no injuries reported.
